“Finally found a reason to hate Caitlin Clark’: Jemele Hill can’t help but joke about Fever star’s ‘unfair’ golf skills after viral outing (PO)

Jemele Hill can

During her historic rookie season in the WNBA, Caitlin Clark ran into her fair share of critics. Now, one analyst who spoke out about her on numerous occasions, has jokingly said she dislikes her for her skills off the basketball court.

In her free time, Clark is an avid golfer. She was recently seen playing with her Indiana Fever teammate Lexie Hull, and their adventure on the green almost went viral online. While filming themselves playing a hole, Clark came a few feet from draining a hole-in-one.

After seeing this impressive clip of Caitlin Clark on the green, Jemele Hill chimed in with her thoughts. The former ESPN analyst joked that she found a reason to dislike the reigning Rookie of the Year.

“finally found a reason to hate Caitlin Clark — she’s got a smooth swing and is an excellent golfer. This is simply unfair. Let me go shoot my 110.”

Hill enjoyed a seven-year run with ESPN spanning from 2006 to 2013. During her time with the network, she was most known for co-hosting the show “His & Hers” alongside Michael Smith.

As for Clark, she continues to live up to the comparisons of Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry. Not only are both lethal long-range shooters on the hardwood, but they’re also very impressive golfers.

Jemele Hill clears the air on her stance on Caitlin Clark
Like most WNBA analysts, Jemele Hill talked about Caitlin Clark a lot during her impressive rookie campaign this season. After being accused of hating the Indiana Fever star, she set the record straight regarding her stance.

There is no denying that Clark brought a wide range of new fans and viewers to the WNBA. However, not all the added exposure was a positive thing. Clark had to deal with a lot of outside noise, especially people trying to use her image to feed racist narratives and undertones.

Earlier this month, Hill made an elongated post on X (formerly Twitter) to break down where she stands on Clark. When it comes to on-court talent, Hill agrees that Clark is incredibly skilled in multiple facets of the game. However, where she draws the line is people using Clark to try and make women of color in the league seem lesser.

Over the past few months, Hill has maintained this stance regarding Clark. She’s praised her work on the court on numerous occasions throughout the year. Hill has also spoken about how unfair it is for her to be thrown into such hateful narratives by people who aren’t fans of the league.
