“I had never even met Paul, and he’s the reason I have a music career right now,” he said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. He also shared that the Fast and Furious star is the reason he has found a great friend like Vin Diesel.

“Would you even pair me and Vin Diesel as friends? We’re best friends now,” he said. The 31-year-old singer has continued growing, having collaborated with several influential names in the industry, including Wiz Khalifa, Selena Gomez and Elton John.

“I thought maybe one GRAMMY nomination,” he said. As he landed, he thought for a second that there was an emergency due to the number of texts on his phone.
