Billie Eilish gets hit in the face by a necklace while performing at Arizona concert (lee)

Billie Eilish became the latest music artist to be hit by something on stage.

The 22-year-old singer was performing at Glendale, Arizona’s Desert Diamond Arena on Friday when she was struck by a necklace that was seemingly tossed at her by someone in the audience.

Fans got video of the incident — which occurred while Eilish was singing her emotional track “What Was I Made For?” — and shared it on social media.

In the footage, Eilish was sitting cross-legged on the stage singing into the microphone when the necklace struck her right in the face.

She briefly paused and flinched as the crowd gasped at what happened.

Eilish then continued to sing as she grabbed the piece of jewelry and tossed it off the stage.

Fans condemned the incident on social media and praised Eilish for how she handled it.

“Wrong on so many levels,” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“This is not so acceptable. It is scary and unsafe,” someone else said.

Another fan tweeted, “That’s so scary, hope Billie’s okay.”

“I miss concert etiquette, why is this allowed,” a different fan said.

A fifth fan wrote, “This is so rude and disrespectful!! Someone is going to do this to the wrong artist one day and they going to get what’s coming to them!!”

Eilish previously spoke out about fans throwing objects during concerts amid the rise of the troubling trend.

“I’ve been getting hit on stage with things for, like, literally six years. I don’t know why this is new,” Eilish told The Hollywood Reporter at the “Barbie” world premiere in July 2023.

“People just get excited, and it can be dangerous,” Eilish added.

She went on, “It’s absolutely infuriating when you’re up there. I have mixed feelings about it, because when you’re up there, it blows. But you know it’s out of love, and they’re just trying to give you something. You’re in a vulnerable position, but I’ve been getting hit with stuff for years.”

A number of performers have been hit by things thrown from the audience over the last few years.

In 2022, Harry Styles was hit in the groin by a bottle during a concert.

Last year, Cardi B had a drink thrown at her in Las Vegas and Bebe Rexha was hit by a tossed cellphone at a show in New York City.

Adele addressed the unfortunate and dangerous trend during a Weekends with Adele show at the Colosseum in Las Vegas last year.

“Have you noticed how people are forgetting f–king show etiquette at the moment. People are throwing s–t onstage. Have you seen that? I f–king dare you — I dare you throw something at me. I’ll f–king kill you,” she said.

Adele added: “Stop throwing things at the artist … These people have lost it.”
