Hugely important Man City player linked with shock summer exit as Fabrizio Romano reveals he 'could leave'

A first-team player at Manchester City could leave this summer.

A hugely important Manchester City player could leave the club this summer in a shock transfer.

Man City secured their fourth consecutive Premier League title on Sunday as they beat West Ham United 3-1 on the last day of the season.

A busy summer is expected at the Etihad, with incomings and outgoings.

And, according to Fabrizio Romano, one of the outgoings could be Ederson, who could leave the Blues if a suitable proposal is offered.

He has attracted interest from Saudi Pro League sides as the decision will be up to the goalkeeper.

Ederson, 30, has been at Man City since 2017 following his £35 million transfer from Benfica.

And he’s been integral under Pep Guardiola’s methods, having played an impressive 250 Premier League games for the club.

The Brazilian stopper has helped his team win an impressive six league titles during his time in England and starred in his side’s treble-winning campaign in the 2022/23 season.

This season, he has made 43 appearances across all competitions, but missed Man City’s game against West Ham through injury and is set to miss the FA Cup final against Manchester United.

Ederson might not be the only big-name player to leave the club as Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish are among the others stars who could be heading for the exit door, reports The Mirror.

Silva has spent seven seasons at Man City, making 233 league appearances. But he could also call time on his career in the Premier League, with Barcelona thought to be interested in signing the player.

As for Grealish, he’s been linked with a sensational return to Aston Villa, having left his boyhood club for the Manchester-based outfit in 2021 for £100 million.
