WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark was back in Iowa City this weekend to attend her alma mater’s homecoming celebration. She attended various events while on campus, including one where she was all hip and cool, wearing leather cargo pants and a cropped crew-neck sweatshirt.

The vintage brown leather cargo pants that the Indiana Fever superstar guard wore were by Golden Goose and are priced at $1,950. They feature structured, vintage-style leather and a zip fly with button closure, front slit pockets, drop-in pockets, back patch pockets and cargo flap-patch pockets.

The Tan Pennant Cropped Crew-neck sweatshirt, meanwhile, is by Nike, which also comes in a full-length style.

Caitlin Clark returned to Iowa and was honored as one of the Hawkeyes’ most recent famous alumni. She was joined by collegiate teammates Gabbie Marshall and Kate Martin.

At Iowa, the 22-year-old do-it-all guard built her legend as one of the greatest college basketball players of all time, breaking various records, including becoming the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer, both for men and women, with 3,685 career points. She eclipsed the longtime record held by basketball legend Pete Maravich.

Following an illustrious college career, Caitlin Clark was drafted No. 1 by the Fever in the 2024 WNBA draft. She went on to have a stellar first year, averaging 19.2 points, 8.4 assists (league-high), 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals while helping Indiana return to the playoffs after eight years.

Caitlin Clark grateful for collegiate career at Iowa
Caitlin Clark never won a national title with the University of Iowa but still had a great run, for which she is very grateful.

The Des Moines native spent four years with the Hawkeyes, helping them reach nationwide prominence, especially in her final two years where they reached the NCAA championship game.

After her college career, Clark spoke about her entire experience, highlighting how it was a blast to represent her school and state to the best of her abilities.

She shared (via ESPN) earlier this year:

“Whether it’s the way the fans have supported me, the way I’ve been able to represent my state where I grew up, my family being at every single game — there’s not a regret in my mind of how things went. I’ll be able to sleep every night even though I never won a national championship.”

She added:

“I don’t sit and sulk about the things that never happened. My mom always taught me, ‘Keep your head high, be proud of everything that you’ve accomplished.’ And you know, I think I’m so hungry for a lot more, too.”
Caitlin Calrk finished her collegiate career with averages of 28.4 points, 8.2 assists, 7.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 139 games.
