It is official: Caitlin Clark is part of the WNBA as a member of the Indiana Fever.

The former Iowa women’s basketball superstar was selected No. 1 overall by the Fever in Monday night’s draft to mark the start of her pro career.

Clark has made a virtually unprecedented impact on women’s college basketball over the last few years which has already continued into the WNBA.

According to reports, Clark’s Fever jersey was completely sold out within an hour of her selection in the WNBA Draft.

Darren Rovell on X posted: “Clark’s Indiana Fever jerseys have already sold out on Fanatics.

“It took just one hour for Fanatics to sell out the extra small, medium, large, extra large and extra, extra large jersey sizes.”

The jersey, which costs $99.99, is now only available in size S, but it seems it’s only a matter of time before that sells out too.

Clark’s marketability has been on full display throughout her record-breaking collegiate career.

The sharpshooting guard became the leading scorer, man or woman, in Division I basketball history this past season.

Nike made a special jersey t-shirt commemorating her performances which was snapped up by fans even before her run to the championship game of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

Clark is arguably the greatest women’s college basketball player of all time and her impact on the women’s game is undeniable.

Monday was the first time the WNBA Draft sold tickets to fans – and it sold out.

The 2024 class was decidedly stacked with the likes of Cameron Brink (No. 2), Kamilla Cardoso (No. 3), Aaliyah Edwards (No. 6), and Angel Reese (No. 7) all selected withing the top-10 of Monday’s draft.

But No. 1 pick Clark is at the tip of that talented spear and set to dominate the league for the next decade plus.

The Indiana Fever, the worst team in last season’s Eastern Conference, are already feeling the effects of Clark-mania.

Ticket sales have gone through the roof ahead of her arrival and now they will be the most-televised team in the WNBA this season.

The Fever will have 36 of their 40 games featured on national television – that’s more televised games than the defending champion Las Vegas Aces (35).

Eight of those games will air on ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2.

Indiana’s season-opener, and Clark’s first taste of the WNBA, will be at the Connecticut Sun on May 14 and will be aired nationally on ESPN2.
