Investigation launched after prankster manages to board Man Utd team bus using disguise

It was another embarrassing moment for Man United.

An investigation has been launched after a prankster managed to board the Manchester United team bus following their defeat to Crystal Palace.

Erik ten Hag’s side suffered an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Palace on Monday evening that summed up an underwhelming season.

The abysmal performance dealt a serious blow to United’s hopes of playing European football next season and heaped more pressure on Ten Hag.

According to the Daily Mail, prankster Lizwani evaded security by disguising himself in full club tracksuit and carrying a designer wash bag.

The YouTuber reportedly boarded the bus and casually took a seat, but United security staff spotted him and escorted him off the vehicle before it departed for Manchester. Lizwani was detained until Police arrived to speak to him.

The incident is being viewed as a substantial security breach by the club and Premier League, which has issued an alert to its clubs, warning them to be on the lookout for repeats.

Palace have launched their own investigation into the incident; the Eagles believe Lizwani hid in the area where the United bus arrived before making his move.

In February he walked onto the stage at the 2024 BAFTA Awards with the cast and crew of Oppenheimer, and stood behind film star Cillian Murphy and producer Emma Thomas as they accepted the award for best film.

He has infiltrated other award ceremonies including the Ballon d’Or, the MOBO Awards and Brit Awards in 2022.

In 2018, Lizwani shared a video of how to get into a Tottenham Hotspur match and posed outside with Argentina international Erik Lamela.
