Unbelievable: The Chiefs remained unbeaten with a blocked goal in a wild finish against the Broncos, causing many exciting developments in the match. (PO)

The Chiefs are like John Wick.

You just can’t put them down.

The undefeated back-to-back Super Bowl champions blocked Denver’s potential game-winning field goal to escape with a 16-14 home win against the Broncos on Sunday.

Denver (5-5) drove the field in the final few minutes to set up a 35-yard field goal with one second left that could have sent the Chiefs (9-0) to their first loss.

Instead, the Chiefs broke through the line and batted down Wil Lutz’s kick.

This continues a theme of the Chiefs continuously escaping with victories in their three-peat quest.

Kansas City won 27-20 versus the Ravens on Opening Night after tight end Isaiah Likely did not get his toe down on a late touchdown that would have made it a one-point game.

The Ravens planned to go for two, but they fell inches short.

The following week, Harrison Butker kicked a walk-off field goal to down the rival Bengals, 26-25.

Kansas City needed overtime last week to take down the Buccaneers, 30-24.

Tampa Bay tied the game late but opted not to go for two, and the Chiefs did what the world expected after they won the coin flip.

Kareem Hunt scored from two yards out to grab the win.

Denver had a good shot to win Sunday, limiting the Chiefs to just 300 total yards. Hunt had just 35 rushing yards, while he also paced the team with 65 receiving yards.

Travis Kelce made history with girlfriend Taylor Swift in attendance with a touchdown catch, tying him for the most by a tight end in team history, but the Broncos relatively held him in check with eight catches for 64 yards.

Rookie quarterback Bo Nix did his part by throwing for 215 yards and two scores and putting his team in position to win.

But Nix and the Broncos learned the hard way that the Chiefs don’t die.

A road trip to Buffalo (7-2) to face the AFC East-leading Bills is up next with the Chiefs now more than halfway toward a perfect regular season.
