Jadon Sancho's reaction after a reporter says 'see you on the Man Utd tour' captured on camera

Sancho will return to Manchester United this summer following his loan spell at Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund.

Jadon Sancho was reminded about Manchester United’s upcoming pre-season tour in the aftermath of Saturday’s Champions League final at Wembley.

The 24-year-old winger, who joined the Reds from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, was banished from first-team training in September after he responded to Erik ten Hag’s statement about his below-par performances in training.

“Please don’t believe everything you read,” he said. “I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself very well in training this week.”

He added: “I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair.”

Sancho would end up deleting the social media post but his refusal to apologise meant he was completely ostracised from the first-team squad. In fact, the England international had to eat and train with the academy side.

After an uncomfortable period at Old Trafford, he returned to former club Borussia Dortmund in January on a six-month loan, helping the Bundesliga side reach the Champions League final.

Edin Terzic’ side fell to a 2-0 defeat against Real Madrid in the showpiece event at Wembley, with Sancho starting the game before being replaced by Jamie Bynoe-Gittens late on.

And after the full-time whistle, the winger was heading through the media scrum when a reporter said: “See you on the United tour!”

Sancho was expected to return to Manchester United as they begin their preparations for next season but a recent report from The Mirror suggests there might be an obstacle in his way.

The winger is said to be ‘reluctant to give up on United’ and is ready to go back to the club, but only if manager under-fire manager Erik ten Hag leaves his position this summer.

With or without Sancho, United will head to Trondheim in Norway for their first game of pre-season – a clash against Eliteserien side Rosenborg on Monday 15 July.

Five days later, they will come up against Rangers at Murrayfield.

And on Sunday 28 July, the squad will stop-off in Los Angeles to face Premier League rivals Arsenal at SoFi Stadium.

United then meet La Liga outfit Real Betis in San Diego on Thursday 1 August before facing Liverpool and their new manager Arne Slot in South Carolina on Sunday 4 August.
