Jason Kelce Speaks Out After Jalen Hurts Publicly Called Out The Team Following Latest Eagles Loss

It’s a very bad time in Philadelphia. They may be the saddest 10-4 team the league has ever seen.

The Eagles once boasted not only world-class talent but championship-caliber fortitude, the wheels have fallen off in Philadelphia. Fresh off a prime-time defeat to the Seahawks, the reigning NFC champions have lost three straight and have failed to score 20 points in any of those contests.

After the loss, quarterback Jalen Hurts said of the now 10-4 squad, “I don’t think we’re committed enough.”
“I’ve been talking about execution all year,” Hurts said in his postgame press conference at Lumen Field. “Everyone being on the same page. We didn’t execute.

“I don’t think we’re committed enough. Just got to turn it around. You know, it’s a challenge that we have to embrace. Just continue to see it through.”
After calling out the entire team, Jason Kelce responded to it on his podcast and saw zero problems with what he said.

“That’s the attitude you have to have,” Kelce said Wednesday on the “New Heights” podcast he hosts with his brother, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. “I think when you’re not performing as a team, when you’re not winning games, the only thing you can do is go back and work that much more, go back and commit yourself that much harder.

“We have great people in the building, we have people that want to win, I know that. There is no question in my mind about that.”
Philadelphia still controls its NFC East fate but it is unlikely to be the NFC’s top seed for the second straight year with the honors likely going to the 49ers.

Monday night’s loss was particularly painful as it featured a mistake from Kelce when he moved the ball forward before the play. A penalty was thrown before they could execute the ‘Tush Push’ and the Eagles would eventually have to settle for a field goal. Those four points could’ve made all the difference.

Hurts finished 17 of 31 and threw for a season-low 143 yards with zero passing touchdowns, while he rushed for 82 yards and two scores.
