Jennifer Lopez has admitted she battled image insecurities throughout her 20s and only recently learned to love her body.

The popstar – famed for strutting her stuff in a variety of skimpy outfits on-stage – has confessed she in-part faked her confidence about her sexy toned curves as she got to grips with fame.

Jennifer is dating rapper Drake and perhaps her new take on image and sassy sex appeal – as well as getting to grips with her body imperfections caused by a non-stop life spent on stage – was what caught his eye.

The star, now 47, revealed: “I never appreciated my body or my looks when I was in my 20s.

“Now I’m like, look at me!

She confessed she now thinks ‘look at me!’ – but not in an arrogant way

“Look at you!

“Not in a conceited or arrogant way – I just appreciate myself in a way I didn’t when I was that age.

“And it’s not about perfection.

“I like the scars that I have.”

She added to the latest edition of W Magazine: “My knees are so bruised all the time, from my shows. I think, I am going to have all this scar tissue. “But then I’ll be like, ‘This is from all the shows I did—when I used to slide across the stage and everybody went ‘Aaaah!’ ”

“When I rocked s***.

“That’s what this is from.”

Jennifer is now a mum to twins Emme and Max, nine, with former husband Marc Anthony.

The pair started dating in 2004 after her split with Hollywood hunk Ben Affleck yet she revealed before then, she lacked confidence in her own skin.

The I’m Real singer said: “Men in their 20s are very confident and cocky, and women are superinsecure.

“And then it flips: Men get superinsecure, and women get comfortable in their own skin, in a way that makes them more beautiful.”

She spoke out in the publication’s special edition dedicated to five Powerful Women and also featuring Donatella Versace, Kate Moss, Jessica Chastain and Taraji P Henson.

Meanwhile she may be body confident, but J-Lo may well be suffering from a case of the green-eyed jealousy monster after her boyfriend’s recent gig at London’s The O2.

The rapper, who had a secret fling with Madonna, called Rihanna a “queen” at the opening night of his UK tour at London’s O2.

He told the crowd: “She’s like the queen of everything.

“If you want your woman to feel sexy and s*** you play the Riri records.”

Drake’s on-off romance with Rihanna is thought to have ended last October before he hooked up with singer J-Lo.

The Hotline Bling singer and Jennifer had tried to keep their romance under wraps by suggesting they were working on music together, but the truth is they are dating.

The Sun’s Bizarre column also recently revealed Madonna had a secret affair with Drake in 2015 that started before their awkward onstage kiss at US music festival Coachella.
