Rashard Mendenhall is no stranger to creating controversy on X and he was back at it again this week.

Former NFL player and Super Bowl champion Rashard Mendenhall wants the NFL to have a game featuring Black players vs. White players.

Mendenhall took to social media Monday to call for a racially segregated pro football game.
“I’m sick of average white guys commenting on football,” the Super Bowl champion said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “Y’all not even good at football.”
Mendenhall, who played for the Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers, offered a replacement to the existing Pro Bowl.

“Can we please replace the Pro Bowl with an All-Black vs. All-White bowl so these cats can stop trying to teach me who’s good at football?” he asked. “I’m better than ur goat.”

He was met with a ton of backlash, but not from JJ Watt.

The former Houston Texans defensive end took to X and stated and stated how the white guys would get cooked at cornerback because on the squad is covering Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

“We’d get cooked at corner, not gonna lie,” Watt said. “Nobody on our squad is covering Tyreek [laughing emoji].”

Mendenhall, the No. 23 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, retired from the NFL after just six seasons.

He played 6 seasons for the Steelers and Cardinals. He had 1,081 carries for 4,236 yards, 95 catches for 795 yards, and scored 39 touchdowns. He retired at age 26.

In his farewell season, Watt amassed 2.5 sacks with the Arizona Cardinals.

Watt was officially inducted into the Houston Texans Ring of Honor during the team’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in October.
