Karl-Anthony Towns’ girlfriend Jordyn Woods was pleased after the Minnesota Timberwolves’ blowout Game 6 win over the Denver Nuggets at the Target Center on Thursday. The T-Wolves won 115-70 and evened the scoreline as the series heads to a decisive Game 7.

Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels notched up 27 and 21 points respectively as their defense held Denver to less than 100 points. Woods took to Instagram to express her support for her boyfriend after the win.

“See you at Game 7,” Woods captioned.

Woods was seen courtside wearing a Timberwolves jacket cheering for Towns. The power forward had a quiet game with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Edwards and McDaniels led from the front. Their defense spearheaded the win as they held Nikola Jokic to 22 points, as the rest of the Nuggets players were held to less than 15 points.

Karl-Anthony Towns has blown hot and cold in the playoffs

Karl-Anthony Towns started with clutch points in the initial stages of the game but mostly had his work cut down on defense as his scoring took a backseat. Minnesota will need their forward to be at his best offensively, especially after he blew hot and cold throughout the series. His consistency has dipped after his return from injury.

Towns has breached the 20-point mark in four of his six games against Denver, and the side has gone 3-1 in that span. Earlier NBA insider Mark Medina stressed that the forward needs to be his aggressive self for the team to stand a chance to get past the Nuggets.

“He’s incredibly important because Minnesota has to run like a well-oiled machine, because that’s how the Nuggets are,” Medina said. “The Wolves can put more resources on Jokić and not get as punishedby that. So, no doubt, when Rudy Gobert was out, KAT had to elevate his game, but even with Gobert back, there’s still got to be the same aggressiveness.”

In this playoff series, Towns averages 19.3 points and 8.6 rebounds. His last five games have seen him average 19.4 points, and 7.8 boards. He ended his regular season with 21.8 points and 8.3 rebounds.
