Chris Jones has shared a cryptic message on social media as he heads into free agency.

Jones was one of the most important players for the Kansas City Chiefs last season, helping them win another Super Bowl as he marshaled their defensive line. The Chiefs are now chasing a threepeat and will need the 29-year-old on their roster if they’re to pull it off.

The five-time Pro Bowler will be a free agent in less than a week, having gone through a lengthy standoff with the team last year. Of course, everything worked out in the end, but there’s no telling how things will play out this time around.

Jones has recorded 74 tackles, 58 quarterback hits, and 26 sacks over the past two seasons, and Kansas City would love to have him back.

While free agency isn’t set to begin until the new NFL year kicks off on March 13, the star defensive tackle is already teasing fans about his future, having posted a photo of himself celebrating last month’s Super Bowl win and captioning it “KC……”

Rather interestingly, the top of the photo pointed to a one-hour phone call.

Check it out below:

We can’t be sure what this means or if it even means anything, but it does seem like Jones is more likely to remain in KC than leave.

General manager Brett Veach previously revealed that re-signing Jones is a top priority for the team while head coach Andy Reid has indicated that there’s mutual interest on both sides as it pertains to a new deal.
