There is a lot of pressure that comes with dating possibly the most famous singer in the world, Taylor Swift. The media coverage, the rumors, and the lack of privacy seem to have “overwhelmed” Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s family, including his mom, dad, and brother (Philadelphia Eagles center) Jason Kelce.

The attention that the Swift and Kelce relationship receives is a concern, and the tight end’s family is “a little worried” for Kelce’s safety, according to TMZ.

Fans and the media have quite literally been watching the football superstar’s every move since their relationship became public.

Even the NFL’s viewership has skyrocketed just to gain a possible glimpse of Swift in the Kansas City Chiefs’ suites. The league may never have a better opportunity to market to young women, and they’re taking full advantage. Swift has been a constant in social media posts and broadcasts amplified by the NFL.

Swift has a following unlike any other. Many of her fans are engaged in a parasocial relationship with the pop star, but that level of devotion could have consequences … for Kelce. His family is concerned about the backlash Kelce will receive if things don’t turn out the way her fans hope.

However, the Kelces seem to notice how happy the tight end has been lately, especially when speaking of Swift, so they are conflicted about how to deal with the situation.

“They’re happy Travis is happy,” TMZ reported.

Swift’s friends have been rumored to comment how on speedy their relationship has progressed, but the two seem to just take a more light-hearted approach to their hangouts and dates.

An overseas tour is on Swift’s schedule in the near future, and Kelce’s football season has approached the trade deadline, a proxy for the season’s halfway point. The Chiefs could very well be playing well into Swift’s tour, potentially complicating things for the couple.

Like Swift, Kansas City will have an international trip of its own. Kelce and the Chiefs will play their Week 9 game in Germany against the Miami Dolphins.
