Matthew Stafford and Kelly Stafford first met in college and have been married since 2015. She has been by his side every step of the way from playing in Detroit to playing in Los Angeles when he was traded.

While in L.A., they have become extremely close with Aaron Donald.

That time came to an end on Friday when the Los Angeles Rams star defensive tackle called it a career at 32 years old.

Donald broke the news with a post on X and Instagram.

In the comment section was Kelly Stafford who was bidding farewell to him while stating something about her husband. She mentioned maybe getting him to retire as well.

Matthew Stafford went from hoisting a Lombardi Trophy in his first season with the Rams to watching his team miss out on the postseason to having a resurgent season in 2023 to get back into the playoffs.

Despite how she feels, she confirmed back in January that her husband would be returning to the Rams for the 2024 season.

The news about the signal-caller came weeks after Los Angeles head coach Sean McVay said he’d be back in the fall as well.

The Georgia product had a huge bounce-back season in 2023 as he played in 15 games and racked up 3,965 passing yards, 24 touchdowns with 11 interceptions this season.
