Kim Kardashian is keeping close tabs on the horrific charges being leveled at ex Kanye “Ye” West by his former assistant – while also fretting that he plans to leave the U.S. and make their already-tense custody arrangement even more tangled and toxic, a source exclusively tells In Touch.

“Rumors have been swirling for a while that Kanye intends to relocate to Tokyo and renegotiate his custody terms with Kim, because he’ll want the kids to travel there frequently once he’s settled.”

The “Flashing Lights” rapper, 47, and his billionaire mogul ex wife, 43, share four children together – daughter North, who they welcomed in June 2013; son, Saint, who they added in December 2015 to their growing family; second daughter, Chicago, who was born in January 2018 and second son, Psalm, born in May 2019.

Despite their messy divorce proceedings that started in February 2021, Kim has stated that she and her ex “will always be family.”

Speaking about their coparenting duties, she told ABC host Robin Roberts in April 2022, “No matter what, even in this crazy life that we live, you just have to have a really open dialogue with your children. Kanye and I have had conversations. We have to talk daily for the kids so you know, I hate that it had to play out like that.”

“At the end of the day, I just want my kids to be happy and healthy, and think the world of their dad,” the reality star added. “And they do.”

Their divorce was finalized in November 2022, granting each “equal access” to the four children.

While Kim had stated, “I always want my kids to be around their dad as much as possible,” the source notes that Kanye’s planned move to Japan may throw a wrench in their shared parenting schedule.

“It obviously poses all sorts of complications and challenges from a logistical point of view, and Kim’s very worried about what the future holds if he goes ahead,” the insider says. “She’ll lawyer up and likely fight him every step if necessary, but it’s obviously the last thing she wants or needs to be dealing with.”

“On top of that, there’s this horrific case being brought against him that can’t be ignored, plus his ongoing marriage issues with Bianca [Censori].”

To add to the SKIMS founder’s headache, Ye is now allegedly wrapped up in the Sean “Diddy” Combs scandal in a big way. His former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, who worked for musician from 2021 to 2022, alleges he committed “sexual battery” after serving her a laced drink during a studio session cohosted by Combs, 54, who is currently in federal custody awaiting trial, according to a lawsuit reviewed by several outlets.

Kanye’s lawyer shot back, saying, “In response to these baseless allegations, Ye will be filing a lawsuit against Ms. Pisciotta,” but, regardless of the outcome, the whole thing has become a nightmare for mother-of-four Kim.

“It’s got Kim’s head swirling and she’s obligated to apprise herself of the situation. But to say she finds it sordid and stressful is an understatement.”
