Fans criticized Kim Kardashian when at a recent event, the 8X star made Princess Diana’s iconic necklace extremely vulgar and indecent.
The 44-year-old reality TV star wore a very sexy outfit at the LACMA Art + Film Gala 2024 event that took place last weekend in Los Angeles (USA). Kim Kardashian combined the cross-shaped quartz necklace – Princess Diana’s favorite jewelry, with a deep-cut white dress showing off her sexy 1st round and fiery body.
Kim Kardashian was heavily criticized for tarnishing Princess Diana’s classic jewelry
In January 2023, Kim Kardashian quietly bought Princess Diana’s vintage diamond cross called Attallah Cross for nearly $200,000 in an auction held by Sotheby’s in London (UK).
Critics were quick to criticize the mother of four for being “less luxurious” and “not listening” for her fashion decisions. Audience commented: “She turned it into something vulgar”; “She risked wearing that iconic bracelet with this dress. It’s a completely uneducated, narcissistic and unattractive brain.”
The large cross necklace is a symbol associated with the image of Princess Diana
The princess has worn this jewelry at many events, including film and stage premieres for many years. But the most memorable was at the Birthright Charity Gala in 1987, when she paired the cross with a string of pearls and a purple velvet dress by designer Catherine Walker. At that time, Princess Diana created a typical style, both noble and individual, making a strong impression in the hearts of the public.
The original Attallah Cross made by Garrand & Co. in the 1920s, features a square-cut purple quartz surrounded by 5.25 carats of round-cut diamonds and set with pearls.
Kim Kardashian has been complained many times about her fashion style that is too revealing
“If you are going to wear such a sacred religious symbol then at least wear it solemnly as Diana did. Be respectful”; “Kim really wants to be famous women such as: Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Princess Diana,… And she thought she could buy this position,” the audience was angry at Kim Kardashian’s appearance this time.
This is not the first time the 8X beauty has worn a “timeless” item that once belonged to another famous star. Previously, at the 2022 Met Gala, Kim Kardashian caused a storm when she wore Marilyn Monroe’s “Happy Birthday President” dress again.
Shortly afterwards, she was accused by The Marilyn Monroe Collection of damaging the legendary nude tight dress, who said the dress had lost some significant crystals and frayed.
