Kanye West and Kim Kardashian may not be close, but they managed to put on a friendly display as they reunited in Malibu to treat their eldest daughter North West to dinner

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West put on a united front to support their eldest daughter North West, despite their rather toxic past.

The former couple were seen reuniting for the sake of their daughter as they treated her to dinner at Nobu in Malibu. North’s friends also tagged along for the trip and the youngsters were seen wearing T-shirts to promote Kanye’s new album, Vultures.

While Kim and Kanye did seem amicable at the dinner, they still decided to arrive separately. Kanye’s wife Bianca Censori didn’t join them for the meal.

Kim was seen arriving at Nobu with North and her friends. The mother-of-four wore a very tiny crop top held together by buckles, which showed off her very chiselled torso. Kim paired it with a pair of furry black trousers and a matching long black coat.

Kanye, legally known as Ye, covered his face with a black mask and opted for a short leather jacket. He also wore a pair of gray trousers and some chunky leather boots. He arrived with his security in tow.

The former couple are said to have spent an hour and a half together inside the restaurant, before Kanye headed back to his car. According to TMZ, Kim left with North and her pals just minutes later.

North seemed to be ecstatic and was seen smiling and laughing with her friends as her parents reunited. She was also pleased to show off the merchandise for her dad’s new album, which she features on.

Fans have jumped on the shocking reunion of Kim and Kanye and it’s safe to say opinions are divided. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, some believe it’s a sign that things aren’t truly over for the former flames.

“This couple may come back one day , just maybe especially if Bianca doesn’t get pregnant any time soon. Ye has already deleted her phone on IG. Signs…” one hopeful fan wrote. Another said: “Well, it seems Kimye are finally getting along.” A third fan shared a red heart emoji next to the pictures.

However, not everyone was convinced the reunion was amicable. One person suggested it was simply a chance for Kanye and Kim to make a “fashion statement”, while another described it as “stupid”.

As Kanye left the family meal, he was filmed being asked about a recent video of him lashing out at a female reporter. He had a public confrontation with the journalist after he was triggered by a question about whether his wife Bianca has any “free will”. During the heated exchange, Kanye even took the reporter’s phone.

In a video shared by TMZ, the Flashing Lights hitmaker refused to comment on the incident involving the reporter. “Kanye, what happened with the girl? Any comments? What happened with the TMZ girl, Kanye, you wanna say something?” the person filming the video asked.

However, Kanye remained silent as he stayed standing by his car before getting into the black SUV. Following his original rant at the journalist, it emerged he had a second argument with the same woman.

In a video shared by Backgrid, Kanye was heard saying: “Don’t come asking me that dumb-a** s***. I’m a person bro.” In a second clip, he can be heard saying: “I’m a grown man with a family, I provide for a lot of people,” as a reporter asked him questions about his wife.

Addressing the reporter, Kanye could be heard telling her that in the future she should not be “running up” on him “with that foolishness ever again”. He then fumed: “Do you understand? Are we clear? Are we clear?” The rapper then asked if his celebrity friends were getting the same treatment and getting “set up”, with him adding that they have “no right” to be “f***ing” with him.

The outburst came just days after Kim and Kanye had an awkward run-in during their son Saint West’s basketball game. They were seen sitting far apart during the match, but had an awkward interaction as they attempted to leave the venue.

Kanye appeared to wave his hands around as he spoke to his ex-wife, who kept her sunglasses on as they chatted. Kim and Kanye have a very rocky past, with the former couple finalising their divorce in 2022.

Once their divorce was finalised, Kanye moved on with Bianca and they tied the knot in December of that year. The rapper has often taken aim at his ex-wife, but that didn’t stop Kim’s sister Khloe Kardashian from hugging the rapper when they reunited at Saint’s basketball game.
