The former LSU Tiger and current Chicago Sky rookie has been making waves in her first WNBA season.

Not only does “Chi Barbie” lead the league in rebounds, but her 11 consecutive double-doubles are a WNBA history-making feat.

One person who doesn’t seem surprised by Reese’s success is Kim Mulkey.

Reese’s former LSU coach took to the X on Tuesday night to share a message about Reese’s recent accomplishments.

“The @WNBA Rookie of the Year has 11 straight double-doubles,” Mulkey wrote.

Fans are excited that Mulkey is showing affection for his former player.

“Mom, @KimMulkey, I think we should put a statue of Angel Reese at LSU. She represents LSU and put LSU on the map,” one fan replied.

“Congratulations Coach! You came into Angel’s life at the right time, instilled discipline, and brought out her gift and talent,” another said.

The relationship between Reese and Mulkey has clearly continued, even though Reese is no longer in Baton Rouge.
