In one of the most shocking events, the media accused Lakers’ star, LeBron James, of being ‘overprotected.’ As per veteran NBA analyst Skip Bayless, James has led a charmed life in all of his 22-year career so far. Bayless also stated that King James must have been blamed a lot more for the poor showing of the Lakers.

In the recent episode of ‘The Skip Bayless Show,’ the analyst took a jibe at the NBA legend. Often touted as the GOAT, Bayless opined that James has consistently avoided taking the blame for the team’s loss. The media also played a part in keeping the image of King James intact. “I’m constantly amazed by how hard the LeBron-worshipping media works to protect him by ignoring so many of his classic failures, LeBron eclipses Aaron Rodgers as the most overprotected superstar in sports history,” said Bayless on his podcast.

And he also had his reasons for claiming so. The veteran analyst pointed out that James went 2 for four at the free-throw line against Orlando. He also could not make the most of a late easy opportunity that might have sealed the game for the Lakers. As per Bayless, moments like these have been repeatedly ignored by the media. This was not the only instance in which Bayless criticized James. 

Skip Bayless Lashes At LeBron James After Loss Against The Nuggets

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a stumbling block after winning six games on the trot. LeBron James and co. They put up a poor show against the Denver Nuggets, succumbing to a 102-127 defeat. This paved an ideal path for Skip Bayless to criticize James yet again.

“Nuggets just OWN the Lakers. Nuggets, who had to travel after a hotly contested home loss to Dallas last night, just went on a 50-17 run at Lakers. Pretty pathetic for LeBron and Co,” said Bayless in an X post. Thus, with things taking a heated turn, it remains to be seen if LeBron James responds.
