LSU receiver and 2024 NFL Draft prospect Malik Neighbors has reportedly been coined as a “high-maintenance” player according to some NFL scouts due to his apparent “off-the-field” questions Nabers answered in the draft process.

Nabers undoubtedly wanted to respond to these rumors, and he ended up doing so via an Instagram live with his teammate, QB, and fellow 2024 NFL Draft prospect Jayden Daniels.

Nabers denied the claim stating “You know they gotta pick somebody in this draft. I guess they just pick me”, referring to the fact that he may just be a headline for certain news sources.

The LSU standout was originally pointed to in a report by Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda.com stating that he could struggle to begin his NFL career if he is drafted to a big city team like the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Chargers, or even the New York Jets or Giants.

Malik Nabers Is Compared To The Best Reciever In The NFL Right Now

Nabers has been compared to the likes of former LSU receiver Justin Jefferson, who is considered as the best receiver currently playing in the NFL. That is a comparison that NFL scouts should not take lightly if they are looking for their next generational receiver.

The Tigers star has hit over 1,000 receiving yards in each of his last two collegiate seasons with the team, putting up 14 touchdowns in 2023 while catching passes from the aforementioned Jayden Daniels.

Nabers is projected to be on a top-10 team in the upcoming NFL Draft and he may be a good fit for a receiver-needy team. One that comes to mind would be the New York Giants, where Daniel Jones has struggled to live up to his contract after putting up just 909 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions in just 6 games played.

If Nabers is to be believed, he would help a struggling Giants team, however, if the rumors are to be believed, many teams should air on the side of caution with the wide-out.
