Man Utd fans say it's 'sad but right' after hearing what Jamie Carragher said about Marcus Rashford

Jamie Carragher shared his take Marcus Rashford ahead of Manchester United’s clash against Liverpool.

Manchester United fans have reacted after hearing what Jamie Carragher said about Marcus Rashford ahead of their clash against Liverpool.

Before commentating on the huge league fixture at Old Trafford, Carragher touched on Man United’s situation as he shared his bold take on Rashford.

After scoring 30 goals in all competitions in the 2022/23 campaign, he could only manage eight goals last season as he struggled for form.

At the time of writing, Rashford’s yet to open his goal account for the new campaign, having started the Red Devils’ opening three league games.

However, Carragher is NOT convinced the star forward can lead his side to Premier League or Champions League glory.

Speaking before Man United’s match against Liverpool, he said: “I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, if Marcus Rashford is Manchester United’s best attacking player, they’re not winning a league or a European Cup.”

Man United fans on social media reacted to Carragher’s claim as some people agreed with the Liverpool legend.

One X user wrote: “Sad but he’s right.”

A second added: “Nobody is ever saying Rashford is our best attacker. But we’re still not winning the League at Champions League anyway.”

A third admitted: “I’ve been saying this for over 3 years and get called a fake fan.”

Rashford has failed to maintain a level of consistency in his career.

But Man United and Erik ten Hag have kept faith with the 26-year-old amid speculation linking him with a move away from the club this summer.
