The player’s comeback could be massive for United’s season.
Manchester United fans have taken to social media to post their excitement after one forgotten player was spotted in training.
Despite bringing in players like Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt over the summer transfer window, many fans believe United’s start to the 2024/25 season has been lacklustre.
The Red Devils won their season opener against Fulham, but had to rely on a late debut goal from substitute Zirkzee to win 1-0, but lost their second match to Brighton 2-1 after conceding an injury time goal to Joao Pedro.
But now fans have spotted the return of a forgotten player in recent training footage, and he could save United millions in the transfer market.

A viral clip posted on Reddit show Tyrell Malacia completing some individual training as he works his way back from a long-term injury.
The Dutchman’s last game was United’s 2022/23 Premier League season closer against Fulham in May 2023, a few months before he underwent knee surgery to treat an injury.
Reacting to the footage, one fan wrote: “Genuinely so happy for the guy to be back moving around, hope he gets his confidence back.”
Another suggested : “Hope he comes back strong.
“We will need to be patient with him, he has missed a lot of football!. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was part of the u21s as an overage player for a few games before being brought back into senior fold.”
While one fan joked: “Thank ETH for sending Mount on a season-long rescue mission for Malacia. Hopefully one day they’ll declassify the docs and we’ll see a good movie about it.”

With first-choice left-back Luke Shaw currently injured, Malacia’s potential return could save United millions in the transfer market, as they may no longer deem it necessary to sign another left-back before the window closes on Friday.
Club legend Peter Schmeichel recently spoke about about Shaw’s injury and the implications it has had on Manchester United.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, he said.“The one thing I have to say that really gets me and annoys me as a Manchester United fan is that Luke Shaw did not play since February for United and yet he still went to the Euros
“Now he’s injured again. He is a Manchester United player, we pay him. He should be focusing on and prioritising Manchester United and not his country.”
