Man Utd fans turn on Lisandro Martinez after seeing what he posted just one day after Liverpool defeat

Lisandro Martinez has angered Manchester United fans with his Instagram post after the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool.

Manchester United fans have turned on Lisandro Martinez after seeing his post on Instagram following the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool.

Martinez started the loss at Old Trafford and was booked for a challenge on Dominik Szoboszlai in the first half, leading to a bust-up with Virgil van Dijk.

Luis Diaz scored twice for Arne Slot’s men before Mo Salah added his customary goal against United in the second half.

Erik ten Hag’s side were thoroughly outplayed by Liverpool and suffered a second consecutive defeat which puts them 14th in the Premier League after three games.

And while Martinez has been a firm fan favourite since joining United, he’s angered plenty of supporters in the wake of the defeat.

Just a day on from the result, Martinez posted on Instagram about joining up with Argentina for the international break, where they have World Cup qualifiers.

Martinez posted two pictures on his feed, the second of which was a snap with Alexis Mac Allister.

But United fans were furious with him posing with a Liverpool player when the game was still fresh in the memory.

A second said: “Feels like a betrayal.”

A third added: “No shame posting with a Liverpool player after the game crazy poor from you butcher.”

A fourth commented: “These players don’t care if we lose. Shameless players.

Another user wrote: “Too soon bro.”

A final person vented: What’s this guy doing? The whole Manchester United fans and owners are fuming and you have the audacity to do this?”
