Sky forward Angel Reese capped an unbelievable performance against the Fever with an emotional courtside moment with WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes.

Reese led Chicago back from a 15-point deficit against Indiana by scoring a career-high 25 points and adding 16 rebounds in an 88-87 win.

She became the first rookie since A’ja Wilson (2018) to have 25 points and at least 15 rebounds in a game.

Reese also recorded her eighth consecutive double-double, joining all-time greats Candace Parker and Sylvia Fowles as the only players to accomplish that feat.

After the game, Reese spoke with ESPN’s Holly Rowe about her emotional moment with Swoopes.

“She’s been there for me. She’s been there through my highs and my lows. She never doubted me,” Reese said.

“She says she’s proud of me,” Reese added, divulging some of their conversation.

The former LSU star noted that Swoopes told her she’d be in attendance prior to the game, and Reese delivered on a promise she made to the Hall of Famer.

“I’m gonna put on a show for you,” Reese said.

Reese is averaging 12.4 points and 11.1 rebounds per game this season. Per Across The Timeline, she’s one of four rookies in WNBA history (Yolanda Griffith, Tina Charles, Cheryl Ford) to record at least 170 points and 150 rebounds in their first 15 games.
