Caitlin Clark may have been bounced from the WNBA playoffs on Wednesday, but the Indiana Fever rookie produced one final achievement before her rookie season came to a close.
Clark turned in a unique stat line in her team’s 87-81 loss to the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday. She scored 25 points to go with nine assists and six rebounds. Taking to social media after the game, the Fever noted it was a stat line no other rookie in WNBA history had produced.
The WNBA acknowledged Clark’s achievement and sent a strong message to Clark.
“What a season for the rook,” the league shared in a post on X.
Clark set records and produced numerous achievements throughout her rookie season. She became the league’s single-season assist leader (337) and set the single-game assist mark (19). She also become the first WNBA rookie to record a triple-double — doing it twice — and set rookie records for total points and 3-pointers.
