'My body completely shut down': Kris Jenner details her tragic 1994 miscarriage during a discussion about Kourtney Kardashian's IVF struggle

Kris Jenner has opened up about her tragic 1994 miscarriage as she explained that her body ‘completely shut down’ in a discussion with Kourtney Kardashian.

In episode two of The Kardashians, Kris visits Kourtney at her Calabasas home as they discuss her struggles with IVF as she tries for a child with Travis Barker.

The momager, 66, explains that she was ‘moody’ and ‘depressed’ when she lost her baby with Caitlyn Jenner, who at the time identified as Bruce, similar to how Kourtney, 43, has been feeling throughout her IVF treatment.

Kris detailed: my body completely shut down. I was moody and depressed, I was bloated, didn’t feel well, everything you described.’

In a 2016 interview with People, Kris explained how her friend Nicole Brown Simpson helped her through the emotionally painful miscarriage.

She said: ‘Before I got pregnant with Kendall, I had a miscarriage at three months. Nicole really got me through that.’

Nicole had been an avid fitness buff and she encouraged Kris to start working out with her.

‘I had never run before,’ Kris said. ‘And Nicole would encourage me. She got me running and she told me, “I promise you’ll get pregnant [again].”‘

Kris is mother to Kourtney, 42, Kim, 41, Khloe, 37, and Rob Kardashian, 35, from her marriage to the late lawyer Robert Kardashian.

Her daughters Kendall, 26 and Kylie, 24, are from her marriage to Caitlyn, who came out as a trans woman in April 2015.

And speaking in the latest episode, Kourtney reveals that her and Travis want to have a baby, so their doctor took them ‘down this road of doing IVF, and it hasn’t been the most amazing experience.’

Speaking in the latest episode, Kourtney reveals that her and Travis want to have a baby, so their doctor took them ‘down this road of doing IVF’

Kris says that she’s never seen Kourtney happier but the medication has put her into depression, as Kourtney says she is ‘super moody and hormonal.’

‘Even though Kourtney has three beautiful children, it doesn’t make it hurt any less if you’re trying to have a baby and you’ve been struggling.’

Kourtney says that people always say on social media that she is pregnant, adding, ‘It’s so rude to comment on people when you have no idea what they’re actually going through.’

She adds the medication they have given her has put her into menopause, adding in confession, ‘I think because I’m so clean and careful about what I put into my body, it’s just like having the complete opposite reaction and working as a contraceptive instead of helping us.’

Kris thinks they will be there a year from now with her baby, as Kris says she has to ‘claim that.’

IVF is usually used by women or couples who are struggling to conceive naturally, and it involves the retrieval of eggs from the ovaries, which are then fertilized by sperm in a lab, before being transferred into the uterus.

Many women who are preparing to undergo IVF will be given one or more forms of fertility drug by their doctor, which are used to trigger the release of hormones that then stimulate egg production.

Typically, menopause occurs when a woman is between the ages of 40 and 55, and it is diagnosed after a person has gone 12 months without experiencing a menstrual cycle.

After menopause, a natural pregnancy is no longer possible, but IVF is still an option, and previously frozen eggs can still be implanted.

It’s not uncommon for women to gain weight during IVF treatments as hormone injections can affect your weight and also your hunger levels.
