US multi award-winning musician Chris Brown has surprised South African songstress Naledi Aphiwe once again.

Just last week, the Uyangijabulisa hitmaker was singing the American artist’s praises after he credited her on one of his songs. This week, the No Guidance singer bought the KwaZulu-Natal learner an iPhone.

The 17-year-old, whose real name is Aphiwe Myongwana, took to her Instagram account to share the news with her followers as she referred to Chris Brown as her “dad.”

“So my dad Chris Brown bought me Iphone 12 😩❤️🥹isn’t that cute,” she wrote.

NALEDI APHIWE ON BEING RECOGNISED BY THE US MUSICIAN

Aphiwe went viral in October last year when Chris Brown shared a clip of her singing on his Instagram. At the time, the Don’t Judge Me hitmaker was blown away by her voice.

A year later, the musician sampled her on his 11th studio album 11:11 on a song titled Shooter. For that, he paid her $3,000 (R56 207).

“Chris Brown did what I would have never done. There are many people who are talented outside and he chose a child from a small city like mine. I appreciate him so much. People who didn’t know anything about Naledi Aphiwe today know her. It has changed my home situation. Everything is good now,” she told TshisaLIVE.

Aphiwe also shared plans of buying herself a new phone, which she no longer has to do since the US artist has gifted her with one.

“First I want to buy a new phone so I can carry on making content and push my music. I also want to go to my mom’s grave to fix it for thanksgiving since we weren’t able to do things the way we wanted when we buried her last year.”
