It’s abundantly clear Caitlin Clark has the respect and admiration of her Indiana Fever teammates.
On Saturday afternoon, Clark became the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double — notching 19 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds in a stunning upset victory over the league-best New York Liberty.
“HISTORYYY CAITY GIRL,” Smith wrote in response to the Fever’s post on X.
Smith’s response already has more than 3,000 likes and 250 reposts.
Smith played a big role in the Fever’s 83-78 win over the visiting Liberty on Saturday afternoon. The veteran forward supported Clark’s triple-double with a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double of her own.
Aliyah Boston also took to social media with a message of support for Clark.
“TRIPLE DOUBLEEEE as you should @CaitlinClark22 great fever dubbb,” Boston wrote on X.
Clark and the Fever look to take this momentum into their next game against the Washington Mystics on Wednesday.
