Collier joined FanDuel’s “Run It Back” show on Thursday to discuss this project. She hinted that a few rookies could join the 26 players announced to compete.
“I think we might have a couple more rookies in there. That might be a hint. I find out when you guys find out which players are getting announced,” Collier said.
Chandler Parsons asked her about Clark and if she tried to get the Indiana Fever star to join them.

“I feel like it’s so crazy because the growth that Caitlin has brought to the game. The sheer amount of money that she’s making these teams [in the WNBA]. People are having to move their venues for when she comes to play. And she’s getting paid like $75,000 a year,” Collier said. [1:36]
“Definitely we want to be part of that change. I think she deserves that. I think she should be one of the top players in the world just for the sheer numbers that she’s bringing.”
Unrivaled set to recruit Caitlin Clark in the next several weeks per report
In addition to Napheesa Collier’s words, a report from Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports reported that Unrivaled will try to persuade Caitlin Clark to join the league’s inaugural season. McCarthy says that officials didn’t want to rush anything and preferred to wait until Clark’s rookie WNBA season was over to make a swing for her services.
Now that they secured a TV contract with TNT, they plan to approach Clark in the next several weeks.
The key element in this recruitment process won’t be money but the chance to compete against the best players in the world. Clark is a fierce competitor who didn’t back down from any challenge in her 2024 WNBA season. However, after playing basketball nonstop for nearly a year, she decided to take some time off and focus on her golf game.
If they somehow manage to land Clark, this league will do numbers, and Clark will prove again that she’s a generational player.
