For the second time in as many years, a professional Texas quarterback is dealing with allegations of sexual assault or misconduct.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott filed a civil lawsuit against a Fort Worth woman who he said made a false sexual assault allegation toward him in an attempt to extort $100 million.
His attorney, Levi G. McCathern of Dallas, said the quarterback was the target of an extortion plot, and although he admitted to having consensual sex, he denied a sexual assault happened.
“Mr. Prescott — a new father to a baby girl — has great empathy for survivors of sexual assault,” McCathern said in a released statement.
“He fervently believes that all perpetrators of such crimes should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. To be clear, Mr. Prescott has never engaged in any nonconsensual, sexual conduct with anyone.”
The woman’s attorneys sent a letter in January stating that she has suffered years of pain and trauma since the alleged incident went down in 2017. The letter said she “is willing to forego pursuing criminal charges, along with disclosing this information to the public, in exchange for compensating her for the mental anguish she has suffered. Damages are valued at the sum of $100,000,000.00.”
Prescott’s lawyers filed their lawsuit Monday against the accuser and attorneys Bethel T. Zehaie and Yoel T. Zehaie, alleging that they are attempting to extort him.
It is now coming out that Yoel T. Zehaie, one of the opposing attorneys, has been noted as a Dallas Cowboys fan. It was proven in an old Facebook comment from just this past season.
The comment could be seen calling out Dak as ‘garbage.’

According to the lawsuit, the woman is claiming Prescott invited her out with two members of his “entourage” and other women to an establishment in Plano, later getting into a black SUV where Prescott allegedly exposed himself and “used physical force and sexually assaulted” her.
Prescott has not publicly addressed the subject outside of his lawsuit and his attorney’s statement.
The 30-year-old is approaching his ninth season with the Cowboys, who drafted him as a rookie out of Mississippi State in 2016.
