A video has surfaced online suggesting Drew Lock may have cheated during the ‘Monday Night Football’ matchup against the Eagles.
The Seahawks pulled off a massive upset against last season’s Super Bowl finalists this week, handing them three consecutive losses. But some fans aren’t so sure their victory was above board.
A video has been doing the rounds which seems to imply that Lock used a banned substance to give him a better grip on the ball during Monday night’s bad weather.
It does appear that there was something powdery coming off his hands, though it was also raining, so it’s hard to tell. The court of public opinion may have to bring LeBron James in for this one; for now, all we have is speculation and claims from the NFL stating it was just rainwater.
“This has been on my mind since MNF: What (if anything) was on Drew Lock’s hands here? The NFL tells me it was “water.” It was raining,” A.J. Perez of FrontOfficeSports noted.
“This definitely deserves a #… That certainly looks like chalk/baby powder and not water/rain,” Eagles reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks added.

Perez does note that chalk or powder aren’t explicitly banned. And, while this isn’t going to change anything, it is sort of intriguing.
