Football fans are destroying NBC for cutting away from the broadcast of Matthew Stafford’s highly-anticipated return to Detroit on Sunday night.
Stafford, who played for the Lions from 2009 to 2020, returned to Ford Field on Sunday for the first time as a visitor — in the Wild Card Round no less. Unfortunately for fans, NBC curiously cut to a commercial break just as Stafford and his Los Angeles Rams were running out of the tunnel and onto the field.
Needless to say, unhappy fans wasted no time ripping NBC on X/Twitter:
It’s indeed a peculiar mistake by the network. Stafford’s first trip to the playing surface was exactly what every fan wanted to see.
