Nick Wright believes the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes would overpower Josh Allen.

When a game as big as the Buffalo Bills’ mega matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs is set for the coming Monday, a comparison between their leading quarterback is foreseen. However, sports analyst Nick Wright may have taken it a bit too far as he gave a wild prediction for Josh Allen.

Not only did Wright claim that Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes would overpower Allen, but he also asserted that Allen’s era with the Bills would come to an end. While picking the side of his hometown, the co-host on Fox Sports 1’s First Things First has clarified that he always sides with the best team, and this season, once again that happens to be his hometown team, the Chiefs.

Quarterback Allen, who has led his team to win the AFC East divisional title at 11-6 regular-season standing, still couldn’t suit well in the eyes of Wright. When he was asked about the aftereffects of the Bills’ predicted loss against the Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs, Wright, without a blink, asserted:

It would mean this mini era of Bills football in its current iteration is over and it failed.

Nick Wright saidHe then added:

Josh is firmly entrenched as he should be, he’s one of the five best quarterbacks in the league. But they [Buffalo Bills] will have to make some major change. If in back-to-back years in round two, the other contenders or champions in this case in your conference, come into your building as Brew.. as you know put it, makes themselves a sandwich, puts on your Versace rope, sees what’s on TV, sits in your comfortable chair and kicks their feet up– something’s got to change.

Nick Wright added

Wright backed his points by comparing Allen-led Bills to the former NFL quarterback Philip Rivers-led Chargers. He claimed the records and divisional titles of both teams were the same, at their apex. He believes, just like the then-Chargers appeared against legends like Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger (Big Ben); the current Bills is running to Mahomes three times and Joe Burrow in the intermittent year.

He concluded:

If you go 0 for four in those four matchups, what are you? Cuz’ those teams those quarterbacks are not going anywhere. So, if that happens, that’s what they are no matter what people think they could or should be.

How Patrick Mahomes’ playoff record puts Josh Allen under pressure?

While talking about where the Bills’ quarterback Allen lagged, analyst Wright once again praised the reigning Super Bowl MVP for his stellar record in the NFL playoffs. He emphasized how Mahomes has never lost in the Wild card round the divisional round or in the AFC playoff race.

However, he also pointed out that the current Chiefs’ team is one of the most clamorous squads, with a lot of chaos happening inside, along with various offensive inabilities. Given that, the Bills also have an upper hand with their home-field advantage.

Considering these factors, if the Bills once again fail against the Chiefs, they will struggle to be able to beat them in the future.
