No Taylor Swift appearance would be complete without speculation about whether there are any Easter eggs hidden within her look. And at the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet, her shimmering green gown gave us plenty to discuss.

The strappy gown was by none other than Sabato De Sarno’s Gucci, marking what will hopefully be just the beginning of a very fashionable 2024 for the music superstar. It’s the color, though that has Swifties like myself theorizing about whether or not there’s a connection to “Reputation” (Taylor’s Version), the green feeling all too reminiscent of the snake motif used throughout that album.

Swift wore her long blonde hair in loose waves, hiding her signature cat-eye liner and soft glam beneath her classic fluffy bangs. Unhidden was the sparkling De Beers jewels that cascaded down her ears and the matching stacked diamond rings.

While the color of Swift’s New Gucci gown may not seem like too direct of a “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” hint, fans are already flooding social media with snake and green heart emojis in hopes of what Swift’s Golden Globes look might mean.
