Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. admits that there’s one AFC playoff contender on his wish list of potential destinations.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is expected to be the first non-quarterback selected in the 2024 NFL Draft. It’s a foregone conclusion that the Chicago Bears will take USC quarterback Caleb Williams first overall, and that the Washington Commanders will take a QB at No. 2.

The New England Patriots also need a quarterback and could take someone at No. 3, though GM Eliot Wolf may find it tough to pass up the option to take Harrison Jr. Otherwise, the Arizona Cardinals feel like a safe bet to take Harrison Jr. if they don’t end up trading that pick to a quarterback-Needy team.

An old video of Harrison Jr. detailing his interest in playing for the Indianapolis Colts has resurfaced, courtesy of the ML Football X/Twitter account.

Harrison Jr. was at Lucas Oil Stadium (the home of the Colts) for the Big Ten media day sessions. Speaking to The Football Fever, Harrison Jr. indicated that he would love to play for the team same organization as his father:

The elder Harrison spent his entire Hall of Fame career with the Colts, which spanned from 1996 to 2008. Harrison recorded 1,102 receptions for 14,580 yards and 128 touchdowns, helping the franchise to a Super Bowl 41 championship in the 2006 season.

Harrison was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016.

Colts Would Have To Pay A Ransom To Land Marvin Harrison Jr.

The idea of Marvin Harrison Jr. following his father’s footsteps and playing for the Colts would be a feel-good Hollywood-like story.

But with the No. 15 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Colts would also have to pay a pretty penny to move up for Harrison Jr. If your’e Colts GM Chris Ballard, you’re looking at a minimum of two first-round picks to jump up 11 spots, and likely more.
