On Tuesday, Boston made a point to acknowledge the passionate fans who visit Gainbridge Fieldhouse to cheer them on:
“Just the continued crowd that we have. They come no matter what time the game is. Early game, late game, they’re there. I think that’s great for us because we use that energy, we feel for that. It is always great to have those fans in the crowd.”

The Indiana Fever had a turbulent start to the WNBA season, winning just one of their first nine games and losing their first four home games. Despite the rocky start, fans stayed loyal. Since June 1, the team has an impressive 18-9 record and is 11-2 at their home arena in Indianapolis.
Rookie sensation Caitlin Clark’s arrival has been a major reason for the sharp rise in WNBA attendance figures and viewership ratings.
Last season, Indiana had the second-lowest attendance in the league, averaging just 4,067 tickets sold per game. This year, it leads the league with an average of over 16,900, a significantly higher number than the second-place New York Liberty and third-place Las Vegas Aces. The Fever topped last season’s overall attendance total of 81,336 after just five home games this year.
Aliyah Boston has been a key figure in the Fever’s late-season push for a playoff spot
Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell will receive most of the plaudits after a strong offensive season, but Aliyah Boston’s contribution cannot be overlooked.
Aliyah Boston, the first overall pick in the 2023 WNBA draft, is defensively sound and a key player in the post. She leads the Fever roster in rebounds (9.1) and blocks (1.3) and is chipping in with 14.3 points and 3.1 assists per game.
