Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens supported his wife, Simone Biles, at the  Olympic Games in Paris, France. So, naturally, he was part of the celebrations after she led Team USA to another gold medal win.

Owens, who experienced a lot of criticism after claiming he had no idea who his wife was when they met, was again the subject of fans’ ire after he posted a photo of himself wearing her medal to Instagram.

“Witnessing history every time you step on the mat 😍🔥 Congrats baby on becoming the most decorated American  gymnast in  Olympic history!!!!” he wrote. “Just wow!!!! 8 of them!!!!! So thankful i was there to see it ❤️🤍💙

Check it out below:

“Now you know who is She, right? 👀😂” someone wrote.

“Now he knows bout  gymnastics,” another user added.

“The jokes write themselves every time lmaooooooo,” said a third.

“why he holding it like he won it,” a fourth

“God he just keeps making it worse for himself,” a comment read.

“There’s something very unsettling about you wearing her medal. Seems off. Give it back to her immediately 🥇,” another said.

“um take off her medal,” someone demanded.

“But why are you wearing it? How odd,” someone else asked.

“That’s Simone’s gold medal you’re holding, not yours my guy. 😂😂,” another pointed out.

Fans Aren’t Going To Let Jonathan Owens Rest

As mentioned above, Owens admitted not knowing who his wife was when they met on celebrity dating app, Raya. The interview from last year went viral, earning him no shortage of flak.

“I didn’t who she was at the time,” he said. “But the first thing that I saw was that she just had a bunch of followers so in my mind, I’m like, OK she got to be good.

“So literally, had been on the app for a couple of days, man, and it’s like she pops up and I’m like, ‘Let me see who this is’ … I had never really paid attention to gymnastics, so it piqued my curiosity,”

Biles, who was right there, confirmed as much. But it did not stop social media from going after her husband.

It appears their anger hasn’t cooled.
