A Cincinnati Bearcats star is generating some buzz on the college scene through both his name and his game.

Jizzle James was hoping to make it to the NCAA Tournament with the Bearcats in 2024 and would have likely caused a national stir if that turned out to be the case.

The point guard, who has averaged 7.8 points per game in 17.8 minutes per game so far this season, has the internet going wild over his name.

Jizzle is the son of former NFL running back Edgerrin James. But his name is not actually Jizzle; it’s Edgerrin James Jr.

The guard explained where Jizzle came from in an interview with WCPO Cincinnati last month.

“Jizzle is like my on-court persona,” he said.

“Being Jizzle is just being like on the court just playing hard expressing myself. I got the same name as my dad so he tried to, he gave me a name who I could be myself. So I use that and just use it just to play with an extra edge on the court.”

Unfortunately for Jizzle and the Bearcats, they won’t be going to the NCAA Tournament following a loss to the Baylor Bears on Thursday night.
