Caitlin Clark was nowhere to be found as her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, attended a wedding.
Last Friday, Iowa freshman Austin Ash shared photos from a wedding on his Instagram account, in which Connor McCaffery was seen posing with a group of people.
The caption said, “Wedding season.”
Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend was spotted smiling while standing with his male friends. He was wearing a white shirt and black bow tie.
McCaffery wrote in the social media post comments, “Hell of a run.”
It was hard not to notice that Caitlin Clark was not by his side or even at the wedding event.
Either she wasn’t invited, or she just had something else planned at the time. One would assume that her presence would draw a lot of attention to herself and not the bride and groom.
The previous week, Clark received a rousing ovation as she, McCaffery, and her teammate Lexie Hull were at the Indianapolis Colts’ 27-24 home win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Just days before that, the 22-year-old won the WNBA Rookie of the Year Award after a dominating first year in the league.
Caitlin Clark’s Boyfriend Leaves The Pacers To Take New Job
Connor McCaffery, who most recently served on the Indiana Pacers staff after concluding his playing career at Iowa, joined the Butler Bulldogs as an assistant.
McCaffery had served as the Indiana Pacers’ Basketball Development Coordinator since the beginning of the 2023-24 season.
The job allowed him and Caitlin Clark to be in the same city after the Indiana Fever drafted her.
Even with his new job, McCaffrey will still be close since the Bulldogs are based in Indianapolis. Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the Fever play, is only 17 minutes away from Hinkle Fieldhouse, where the Bulldogs play.
