Copa America fans were on their worst behavior at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

On Sunday evening, the Copa America final took place at Hard Rock Stadium, and things were going terribly wrong mere hours before it began.

Fans without tickets for Sunday’s Copa America final climbed fences and ran past security for more than an hour, destroying things in the process.

The home of the Miami Dolphins, the Miami Hurricanes, and the 2026 World Cup suffered what the venue’s leadership called “significant damage,” per Pro Football Network.

Shocking footage shows an escalator at the 72 Club entrance completely destroyed by Argentina and Colombia fans.

At least 10-15 people were arrested, while many others who entered the stadium without a ticket were escorted out, per USA Today.

Numerous fans also needed treatment for injuries they suffered from the crowd trying to push past security and barriers. Because of the actions of many, fans who had tickets and paid thousands were denied entry into the stadium.

Now, the Miami Dolphins organization has been left to pick up the pieces and repair Hard Rock Stadium before the start of the 2024 NFL season.

In less than a month, the team will be hosting a preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons on Friday, August 9.

Hard Rock Stadium has seen better days, but Sunday was not one of them.

Videos before the Copa America Final showed trespassers climbing over fences, fighting with authorities, and even trying to sneak and crawl into ventilation ducts to get access to the big game.
