Prince Harry’s ‘poignant Father’s Day move is unforgivable and he is noticeably absent’

Prince Harry has been slammed for his decision-making by Royal commentator Lizzie Cundy after he failed to make a public declaration to celebrate King Charles on Father’s Day

Prince Harry’s lack of a public gesture for King Charles on Father’s Day has been branded “unforgivable.”

Royal commentator Lizzie Cundy hit out at the Duke of Sussex after he decided not to mark the special day with a public message for his father. Prince William in contrast to his brother shared a touching throwback image of himself as a child alongside his father with the caption: “Happy Father’s Day, Pa. W.”

The post – and lack of acknowledgement of his father by Prince Harry – prompted an outburst from Lizzie who had very strong feelings on the matter. She said: “I thought it was very poignant that Prince William sent this beautiful post. It shows the bond they still have and the respect he has for his father, and there’s Harry, very noticeably absent.

Harry was notably absent from any public well-wishes

Talking to GBN America Lizzie continued: “Let’s not forget, this is a 75-year-old man suffering with cancer, going on with all his duties, at Trooping the Colour he was stood there in the pouring rain. You just think, ‘Wow, this man is absolutely incredible’, he is everything Harry isn’t.”

Lizzie then gave her damning verdict that Harry’s behaviour has gone too far and while she did admit nobody knows if the Duke of Sussex celebrated his father in private, his actions are beyond reproach in her view. She concluded: “Harry just seems to have lost the plot. And how hurtful indeed not to even send a Father’s Day message. We don’t know if he did it privately.

“Normally, Harry and Meghan are very vocal, but if they can’t post a Father’s Day message, that’s unforgivable.” The news comes after it was suggested that Harry has been house hunting in the UK in a bid to spend more time in his native country.

Royal author and expert Tom Quinn told Mirror.co.uk: “Harry has spent a lot of time trying to work out what sort of UK base he might have. He has no experience of living in anything other than well protected houses that are also well away from the public, so he has a huge problem. Every house he looks at has drawbacks.”

Harry is said to be house hunting close to his father

Quinn also highlighted how Harry will be struggling to find anything that offers the same level of privacy that he and wife Meghan Markle had at Frogmore Cottage. He continued: “Apart from the security risks Harry has become increasingly obsessed with his privacy and wants to be well away from prying eyes – that was the key reason he was so upset and angry when his father King Charles evicted him from Frogmore Cottage.

Frogmore is actually a substantial house deep in the grounds of the royal estate at Windsor – it’s also very secure and it would have been perfect. It never occurred to Harry that giving up being a working royal meant giving up the house, but then Harry has always been nothing if not naïve.”

Quinn then said how Harry is hoping to replicate the kind of property his father has with Highgrove. He said: “With no chance of returning to any of the houses in the gift of his family, Harry has looked at buying the kind of secluded Georgian house in its own grounds that his father has at Highgrove in Gloucestershire.”
