Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Jack Jones clapped back at comments made by Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce earlier this week.

The Raiders upset the Chiefs 20-14 at Arrowhead Stadium on Christmas Day. Kelce later stated that his team “handed” the Raiders a victory on Christmas Day, adding, “We literally played Santa and gave them a present.”

A reporter asked Jones for his take on Kelce’s comments, and the second-year cornerback delivered a clever response that should fire up Raiders fans.

“Tell him to go watch that game, we took that game,” Jones said.

The Chiefs certainly played sloppy football on offense, but Antonio Pierce and the Raiders deserve full credit for the victory. They held a usually-dangerous KC offense to only 308 yards of offense on 74 carries.

They also forced two turnovers, including an interception off Patrick Mahomes. The reigning league MVP has long had his way against the Raiders, but the AFC West club found a way to defeat No. 15 for the second time in four years at Arrowhead Stadium.

Las Vegas did not get by with fluky plays or officiating mistakes. Their man coverage was excellent all game long, forcing Mahomes into short passes or throwaways time and time again. It was, undoubtedly, one of the best defensive outings any team has put up against Mahomes.

The Raiders (7-8) will try to keep their slim playoff hopes alive when they visit the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
