Davante Adams’ latest Instagram activity suggests that the All-Pro wideout wishes to return to the place where his NFL career started.

On his Instagram page, the Las Vegas Raiders superstar shared a post about former teammate Josh Jacobs signing with the Green Bay Packers. Adams praised his old team in the move, leading some to speculate that he’d like to return to Titletown:

The Raiders lost the 2022 rushing champion to the Packers, who signed Jacobs to a lucrative four-year deal worth $48 million. Based on the structure of the deal, it’s essentially a one-year contract with a trio of one-year options.

Two years ago, the Packers traded Adams to the Raiders in a blockbuster deal for 2022 first and second-round picks. Adams then signed a five-year extension worth $140 million, the richest deal for a WR in history.

Adams wanted to play with old Fresno State teammate and quarterback Derek Carr, but the Raiders cut the latter after the 2022 season. With the Raiders suffering back-to-back losing seasons, there has been plenty of speculation that Adams would like to be traded.

The Packers’ offense hasn’t been the same since Adams’ departure. Though Jordan Love emerged as the new franchise star QB in 2023, it’s obvious that he could use a proven Pro Bowl-caliber wideout to take his game to another level.

The 31-year-old Adams would be the perfect solution for the Packers, but there’s no indicator that they’d want to take back that giant contract. And on the other side of the coin, it’s unclear if the Raiders are actually keen on trading Adams.
