The Dallas Cowboys could be searching for a new coach following their early playoff exit.

The Cowboys were shockingly eliminated by the Packers on Sunday and many expect an overhaul. Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is now being linked on the back of his side’s loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday.

Tomlin has one year left on his deal and was in no mood to respond to questions regarding his future during a post-game press conference as he walked out on reporters when the subject was brought up.

While none of the current vacancies are believed to be a fit for Tomlin, the Cowboys could interest him if Jerry Jones decides he’s had enough of Mike McCarthy.

“I’d love to see Tomlin in Dallas,” said Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd said on Monday night.

“He is very capable of dealing with drama…I think it’s fair to say, in some big games this year, the Cowboys lacked toughness.”

Cowherd pointed out that the Steelers got themselves within a touchdown of tying Monday’s game vs. Buffalo after going down by 21, speaking to Tomlin’s ability to keep going under pressure.

Tomlin won a Super Bowl with Pittsburgh and hasn’t posted a losing season since he took over as head coach in 2007. While the possibility of a departure is slim, anything can happen in sports.
