REPORT: Colorado Buffaloes Star Shilo Sanders’ NIL Earnings Have Been Called Into Question After Declaring Bankruptcy To Purposely Avoid Huge Million Dollar Lawsuit

Colorado defensive back Shilo Sanders is reportedly being sued for nearly $12 million.

Shilo, the son of Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, made a great impression in his first season in Boulder but could be in serious financial trouble as a lawsuit looms over him.

Denver Westworld reports that the safety has filed for bankruptcy to avoid paying an $11.89 million judgment. In a recent disclosure, Sanders claimed to have around $325,000 worth of assets to his name.

The judgment, served in 2022, is from a 2015 matter in which he was alleged to have assaulted a high school security guard in Texas. Coach Prime has also been accused of covering the assault up by acquiring footage to keep his son out of trouble.

A suit was filed the following year, but Shilo Sanders failed to attend court, and the aforementioned sum was awarded to the plaintiff.

The security guard claims the Colorado star has not paid the judgment.

Shilo Sanders Accused Of Misrepresenting The Totality Of His Assets

The complainant has also suggested that Shilo is lying about the value of his assets.

“On the surface, this omission is as glaring as it is preposterous because it is Shilo’s very NIL value and/or public value that are the source of the non-stop paid engagements and social media appearances,” the filing notes, per On3.

“The entire underpinning of the NIL concept is the value of the individual athlete, but Shilo chose not only to hide the value of the entire NIL endeavor with the ‘unknown’ listings for the two of the entities that were disclosed (Big 21 LLC and/or SS21 LLC), but Shilo intentionally failed to identify and disclose his individual NIL property interest anywhere in the schedules.”

Shilo and his brother Shedeur are expected to declare for the NFL Draft next year.
