CBS golf reporter Amanda Balionis is used to going viral while doing her job for the network she works for, but this year changed in the worst way for her as her name has come up for potential controversy.

Amanda Balionis is at Lancaster Country Club this week to watch the U.S. Women’s Open and she is going viral after she took to her Instagram and shared several photos at the event.

“When your hometown hosts the @uswomensopen you make the trip back,” Balionis wrote. “Had the best time showing these tiny future leaders how cool it is to be strong, ambitious, and passionate about your job. Favorite moment? When Danielle Kang stopped by to say hi and offered to share her snacks with the girls. Core memories unlocked.”

The post includes several pictures of Amanda Balionis and her two children, which she shares with ex-NFL quarterback Bryn Renner.

During his divorce from Erica Stoll, Rory McIlroy was connected to CBS Sports reporter Amanda Balionis.

After Amanda interviewed Rory after his victory at the Wells Fargo Championship on May 12, fans were raving about their relationship. A source exclusively told In Touch, “[They] only added fuel to the fire [of dating rumors] when they got flirty during a recent interview.”

Neither McIlroy nor Balionis have publicly addressed the hearsay.

Any notion that Rory McIlroy and Amanda Balionis, the golf reporter for CBS Sports, are romantically involved is refuted by a recent article. Us Weekly revealed on Wednesday night that the two are not dating and rather have a “professional relationship.”

Following McIlroy’s decision to file for divorce from his wife of seven years, Erica Stoll, there was talk about the player and the reporter.

The athlete indicated a wish to draft a parenting plan and said in court filings that he and Stoll should have “shared parental responsibility” for their 3-year-old daughter Poppy.

The journalist has been married to football coach Bryan Renner since 2022, but it remains unclear if they are separated since she has been spotted not wearing her ring.
