Snoop commended Morant for improving his outside shot and said he should get praised when he does something good.

“I like a man from the Oklahoma City Thunder (Shai Gilgeous-Alexander),” Snoop continued.

“He play like Snoop Dogg. I like him… Giannis (Antetokounmpo) been turning his light on and off, man. (Joel) Embiid the same way. Wait a minute Embiid keeping his light on a little bit more I’mma throw him in there.”

For his last pick, Snoop had plenty of big names to choose from but went with a young superstar.

“And one more? The young goon from Minnesota (Anthony Edwards),” Snoop stated.

“That’s my top five right now. No Lakers in there right now. No disrespect. (LeBron James) you coming off the bench for being old with all that game. You still show up.”

Ultimately, Nikola Jokic, Ja Morant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Joel Embiid, and Anthony Edwards make up the starting lineup; LeBron James receives a sort of honorable mention. In his 21st NBA season, the 39-year-old is averaging 24.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game. Snoop celebrated the player for his continued success.

Overall, that is undoubtedly a really fascinating list. It was unexpected to see how much Snoop dislikes Giannis Antetokounmpo in particular. Of course, everyone has the right to their own opinions, but you won’t find many of these top five lists without Giannis. Kevin Durant, Luka Doncic, and Stephen Curry are notably absent from this list as well—none of them are even mentioned.
