Robert Pattinson Made the Sweetest Rare Comment About His and Suki Waterhouse's Baby /d

Robert Pattinson is very much in new-dad mode nearly a year after welcoming his and Suki Waterhouse’s tiny bundle of joy.

The Twilight actor had nothing but sweet things to say about his baby girl, whom he shares with Waterhouse, in an January 20-published interview with Vogue. Before becoming a father, Pattinson didn’t understand why people loved the scent of babies. Now that he’s a father, he totally gets it—and loves his daughter’s smell.

“I remember people used to be like, ‘Oh, don’t you like the smell of babies, but I thought they were just smelling the baby powder,” Pattinson explained. “But then I had a baby, and I was like ‘my baby smells incredible.'” The 38-year-old further explained that “there’s something there” to his daughter’s scent that allows him “identify her,” and added that “she doesn’t smell like other babies.”

While Pattinson doesn’t often open up about fatherhood, Waterhouse has shared some insight motherhood. In her August 2024 interview with British Vogue, Waterhouse revealed that she and Pattinson made a conscious decision to become parents. “No, we really planned it. One day we looked at each other and said, ‘Well, this is as ready as we’re going to be,'” she told the magazine. “I was like, ‘What can make more chaos?’ “

In December, the singer hinted at what her and Pattinson’s daily life is like with their daughter and revealed a sweet ritual that they do at home. “I think just getting the baby. We have a routine of putting her in the swimming pool and jumping in and out of the pool,” Waterhouse shared while speaking with Today. “That’s just always the most fun. End of the day, 5 p.m., we all get in the pool and be silly. It’s amazing.”

In October, a source told People that the engaged couple was “doing great” after they became parents. “They are very much in love and happy. They take turns working so one of them can always care for their daughter. Rob’s an amazing dad,” the source said. “They are both great parents and truly enjoy it. They travel together as a family and love to bring their daughter along.”
